Zero was originally going to have an armor set of his own, but it was removed for time constraints. To make matters worse, the new dub for the Updated Re-release was removed so it could be a new feature for the reboot series. X4 was well-received but suffers from Narm in its cutscenes, so it would have been interesting to see how the game would be received with new cutscenes and voice acting (not to mention a possible fleshing out of Magma Dragoon and Repliforce, in general). Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X was intended to be a Continuity Reboot of the Mega Man X series, up to X6.Also, in the Japanese dub, both X and Zero's voice actors ends up voicing Renji and Byakuya, respectively.Takashi Nagasako voiced both Magma Dragoon, Tengu Man, and Search Man.Issei Futamata voiced Web Spider, Auto, Astro Man, and Grenade Man.Ryotaro Okiayu voiced both Zero, Rush, and Proto Man.Michelle Gazepis voiced both Iris and Roll.Matthew Meersbergen voiced both Colonel and Search Man.
Redubbing: While it was planned for both Maverick Hunter X4 and the X Collection before both plans were scrapped, fans have taken it upon themselves to redub many of the cutscenes found in the game, with at least three being done by Zero's official voice actor Lucas Gilbertson. The overseas release cuts out their dialogue entirely. In the Japanese version of the game, the Maverick bosses have voiced lines just as their battles start. No Dub for You: A minor case in the English release.
